The Actor/The Writer
Teacher: Larry Singer
Exercises in Ensemble, building trust; writing exercises are given in for yourself and writing for others. Meeting produced and published monologists and memoirists are included. Then! Assigned Scenes are rehearsed and presented, feedback and criticism given and the scenes rehearsed out of class and presented a second time. Then a second round of scenes! The appreciation of the playwright is emphasized. The goal being that a more “open window” is created for the actor to gain insight into material/plays.

Teacher: Gregory Couba
An exploration of the performer’s body through the practical use of physical exercises and stretching techniques leading to an improved sense of body awareness. The goal is to empower the actor to make more informed physical choices and improve artistic expression. Students learn about proper postural alignment, anatomy and physiology, physical relaxation, and the management of muscular tension. Acting exercises emphasizing physical choice and expression are explored to help the actor synthesize this knowledge with their acting technique.
Vocal Production
Teacher: Tuuli Nilsson
The class expands, and frees the body, voice, speech, , development of personal resources, knowledge of the physical instrument, the extension of the vocal range, power through full breath, greater awareness of body alignment and articulation, The sessions encourage change and flexibility and enhancement artistic and truthful expression.
